All Add-ins commands unavailable due to database created in earlier version.
Cause:
The opened database was created in a previous version of Access and has not been converted to Access 7.0. No design changes can be made to a database that was created in Access 2.0 or earlier version and was opened with Access 7.0. Therefore, all the add-ins commands are unavailable.
Solution:
Convert the database to Access 7.0.
1) Do one of the following:
a) Click 'Cancel' to close the 'Convert/Open Database' dialog box.
b) Click 'OK' to close the message box.
2) Backup the database.
3) Click 'Microsoft Access' on the taskbar to switch to Microsoft Access.
4) Make sure the database to convert is closed.
NOTE: In a multi-user environment, have all users close the database.
5) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Database Utilities'. (A submenu appears.)
6) Select 'Convert Database...'. (The Database to Convert From dialog box appears.)
7) Select the drive where the desired database is located from the 'Look in' drop-down list.
8) Select the folder containing the database to convert from the 'Look in' list box. (The database file is displayed.)
NOTE: If the file is in a subfolder, continue selecting folders until the file is displayed.

9) Select the database to convert from the 'Look in' list box. (The file is highlighted.)
10) Click 'Convert'. (The Convert Database Into dialog box appears.)
11) Type a name for the converted copy of the database in the 'File name' drop-down list box.

12) Click 'Save'.
13) Reopen the database.
NOTE: The Add-ins commands should now be available.
